Grand Connection

When complete, the Grand Connection will extend eastward to Eastrail over I-405. (City of Bellevue)

Bellevue’s Grand Connection project, currently spanning from Meydenbauer Bay to Bellevue Transit Center, provides a safe, lively, and enjoyable route for people who walk, bike, and roll. With shops, parks, restaurants, and employment centers along the route, it truly is an essential spine in Bellevue’s mobility system and a key driver of our city’s economic productivity. As Bellevue grows and the Grand Connection expands across I-405 into Wilburton, we need to maximize our investments in ways that improve our city’s sense of place while connecting the corridor with a robust pedestrian and cyclist network.

  1. Lobby City leadership to fund the complete Grand Connection Stage Two Plan, which envisions a lid park across I-405.
  2. Engage area businesses, city staff, and other stakeholders to identify and target corridors for pedestrian and bicycle improvements
  3. Increase community engagement of and awareness of the corridor through place-making activities and partnerships.
